I apologize for the lack of updates and communication through our support system recently. You deserve more.
We have been through a turbulent period over the last year.
First of all, our move to the border factory in Poland was changed back to Thailand due to the uncertainty in Ukraine.
In addition, we have been struggling with an internal auditor who has been jailed for 1 year. Wish we could tell you more, but due to legal discretion, we are keeping it internal for now.
At present, we are struggling with a number of subcontractors who have gone bankrupt due to an overheated industry that is rapidly cooling down after the overproduction of bicycles.
All in all, things have made our business a struggle and a headache for a while, and let me just put it this way, it has not been a fun period for anyone at STRØM.
We have started ordering the last components that we need, but the bikes will be delayed until August/September, bringing us to a total delay of 12 months – this also applies to our baskets and carriers systems.
We know that this situation is more than unreasonable for most of you and we feel exactly the same way. We are good people at STRØM and we have only one desire to deliver some kick-ass e-bikes and carrying solutions to all of you.
We’ll be back with more info as soon as we have more. Our bikes have more than 100 different components and with a few missing parts we can’t deliver.
This is also the reason why we are suffering a shortage of certain products, which we are fighting to get home as well.
We hope for your understanding even though it is extremely difficult going into the cycling season.
In terms of refunds, we are unable to refund anyone at the moment due to potentially draining cash flow.
Our support system is under pressure at the moment and response times will therefore be longer than usual.
All messages regarding the delivery time of your bikes and basket systems will not be answered as we do not know more at the moment and therefore cannot communicate anything concrete to you.
When we know more, we will of course get back to you with an update as soon as possible. In the meantime, we need some time to get your bikes and basket systems home as soon as possible. Please know that we are working hard for this, every day at STRØM.
